The norm resolvent convergence of a family of one-dimensional Schroedinger operators with singular magnetic and electric potentials of small support is studied. The results obtained heavily depend on zero-energy resonances of the electric potential. In particular, these convergence results yield the approximation of a wide class of operators with singular point interactions by operators with smooth coefficients.
