In PT-symmetric quantum mechanics, the introduction of CPT-norm is crucial to deal with the issue of negative probability that comes from PT-norm. The authors argue that unitarity may be violated with CPT-norm in PT-symmetric quantum mechanics due to its distinct symmetry. For PT-symmetric quantum mechanics, there appear to be only two options available: either accepting negative probability or giving up unitarity. But neither is physically acceptable option and there does not appear to be any other way around the obstacle. Hence the authors conclude that PT-symmetric quantum mechanics may not be a viable alternative to the standard Hermitian quantum mechanics.
