Self-interacting mass-dimension one fields for any spin    [PDF]

Cheng-Yang Lee
We generalise the self-interacting mass-dimension one spin-half Elko fields to any spin. These fields inherit the unusual properties of the spin-half fields. They all have mass-dimension one, renormalisable self-interactions and satisfy the Klein-Gordon instead of the higher-spin generalisation of the Dirac equation. Additionally, they all break Lorentz symmetry. The locality structure, free propagators and free Hamiltonians are obtained. The fields are shown to be local. The bosonic and fermionic free Hamiltonians have positive and vanishing vacuum energies respectively.
