We present exact energy spectrum and eigenfunctions of the one-dimensional hydrogen atom in the presence of the minimal length uncertainty. We show that using the recently proposed formally self-adjoint representation, the boundary conditions can be properly imposed which give the correct quantization condition. We indicate that single-valuedness criteria of the eigenfunctions is an emergent condition in low energy regime.
