In this paper, we work on the marginally trapped surfaces in the Minkowski space-time $\mathbb E^4_1$. We obtain the complete classification of the marginally trapped surfaces with pointwise 1-type Gauss map. We also proved that if a marginally trapped surface has non-harmonic, 1-type Gauss map, then it is null 2-type. Further, we give construction of marginally trapped surfaces with 1-type Gauss map with a given boundary curve. We also state some explicit examples.
